Sony Xperia X Android 7.1.1 Firmware Flashing with setool

This post is about ho i have upgraded sony xperia x to Android 7.1.1 using Setool. So this is not an normal upgrade using sony official upgrade tool this all done using setool (Professional tool for Sony Smartphones). We can get Oreo update via OTA. This firmware is official so don’t worry we can get OTA after flashing firmware using setool.

Sony Xperia X Flashing Procedure

1. Open Setool and Press GO SUPPORT
2. Fo to 34.3.A.0.228 page link and download firmware
3. Select PDA Tab.
4. Select Phone type F51xx_XPERIA X
5. Select Setting Tab
6. Tick SIGNED MODE
7. Go back to PDA Tab
8. Click on identify button (This will create a security backup for this phone)
9. Press VOL- button and connect phone (Phone must be powered off and drivers must be installed)
10. Press ADD button and select files
11. Press Flash and connect phone by pressing VOL- button.
